How I Started
I always loved to play with hair, it's just who I am. When I was about 6 I'd say, I told my brother to sit down because I was going to cut his hair and like any little brother would do, he sat down. I was thrilled! A test dummy! I quickly chopped his hair and then proceeded to show my mom what a great job I did, with which she responded umm o.k., what did you do with the rest of his hair honey. This is when I found out that what I did maybe wasn't so great. Fast forward 10 years and my same (poor) brother D.j., needed a haircut, the night before school started and before I went to BOCES (Genesee Valley Educational Partnership in Batavia) I confidently said I can cut your hair. Again, HUGE mistake! Thankfully my Aunt who is also a hairdresser could fix him up and spare the embarrassment. That year and the year after I learned all bout hair, how to cut it, new techniques and how to care for it. I graduated from that program and Alexander Central in 2012 and received my diploma along with my Cosmetology license after taking my boards. Now each day I go to work I am blessed to meet with so many beautiful people and match how they feel on the inside to their outward appearance. They really are another big family. All connected and special and I couldn't ask for anything more.
